Investments & investment approach

Long-term investments in companies of substance

Our investment approach combines entrepreneurial substance with a long-term perspective.

Our approach

Investments that last

We acquire stakes in companies that are already established in the market and want to further realise their potential. Rather than short-term return targets, what matters to us is whether a business model will still hold up in ten years.

We pay attention to a healthy earnings position, comprehensible processes and leadership that takes responsibility. Where structures are missing, we build them together.

Our role does not end with the capital commitment: we contribute experience from earlier transactions and stand by management as a sparring partner.

Process

Seven steps to a partnership

01

Initial contact

In a personal conversation we clarify the project, the timeframe and mutual expectations. Confidentiality is a matter of course.

02

NDA with information exchange

After the initial contact, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and subsequently receive the relevant documents and information about the company.

03

LOI and term sheet

Based on the information exchanged, we set out the fundamental parameters of a possible investment in a letter of intent (LOI) and a term sheet.

04

Contract preparation

Based on the agreed parameters, we prepare the contractual structure and coordinate the relevant documents with all parties involved.

05

Due diligence review of documents

We examine all relevant documents in detail – from financial figures to legal circumstances and operational processes – to obtain a complete picture of the company.

06

Final agreements

The final contractual documents are drafted, reviewed and signed – cleanly structured and legally secured.

07

Investment

After completion we come on board and subsequently actively support the company in its further development.

From the first contact to signing the agreement usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. After signing, payout follows within up to a further 2 weeks.

Private Markets

Defensively positioned, built on cash flow

A significant part of our investments lies in unlisted assets with tangible intrinsic value. Such engagements fluctuate less, deliver predictable cash flows and can be actively managed.

The portfolio is continuously reviewed: we adjust weightings, support financing rounds and draw consequences when assumptions change.

Focus

Sustainable infrastructure

Power generation facilities, grids and utility infrastructure form the backbone of a functioning economy. They are long-lived, regulatorily embedded and generate stable returns over many years.

We invest in projects that combine ecological impact with robust calculation – preferably together with experienced operators.

Focus

Real assets

Machinery, real estate and logistics facilities retain a traceable value even in turbulent markets. They serve as the foundation of the portfolio and dampen fluctuations in other positions.

For us, the quality of the operator is decisive: only professional management turns an asset into a reliable investment.

Startup & Venture Capital

Capital for companies that are just getting started

Young companies need funds during the build-up phase that traditional lenders rarely provide. Venture capital closes this gap: it is contributed as equity and shares in the entrepreneurial risk.

What matters to us is not the idea alone, but the ability of a team to implement it. We support selected investments through several financing rounds and deliberately accept that success only shows over years.

Risk notice for investors

Investments carry significant risks, including the possibility of a total loss. Only invest capital whose loss you can afford.

Risk notice for borrowers

Borrowers are obliged to repay in full. Payment defaults can have significant consequences.
